Welcome to Cañon City Blitz Soccer! Established in 1986, the Blitz operates under the formal organization of the Cañon City Youth Soccer Association (CCYSA) which provides competitive soccer opportunities to Fremont County’s youth, including many players from Florence and Penrose. Our program is available to any local youth; we currently have teams from Under-12 to Under-19 age groups and we’re always looking to add more. Over the years, Cañon City Blitz Soccer has become known statewide as a soccer program able to compete with elite soccer clubs across Colorado. Our teams compete primarily along the Front Range of Colorado, with occasional games as far as Steamboat Springs, CO or Cheyenne, WY.

Culture: Cañon City Blitz soccer teams typically stay together over the years and players become close to their teammates. We encourage players to practice good sportsmanship, grow in character, and become leaders on their team and in their community. Our families often help each other with transportation for their players, and teams are encouraged to carpool to away games. Coaches and Managers are required to pass an extensive background check and SafeSport training. Coaches are also required to complete annual concussion training and basic US Soccer coach training.

Organization: The Cañon City Youth Soccer Association (CCYSA) is operated as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and led by a volunteer Board of Directors. CCYSA is a member of the Colorado Soccer Association, which is governed by US Youth Soccer. 

Location: All Blitz practices and home games are held at Mountain View Park in Cañon City.
