We are excited to officially announce the adoption of a new Cañon City Blitz logo! In 2022 the Board decided it was time to refresh the old club logo with a modern, simple graphic imbued with symbolism that represents our community. The new emblem was unofficially rolled out in time for new uniforms for the Spring 2023 season.

The new emblem is a simple shield with slimmer, more streamlined proportions. The Blitz club name features prominently across the top in bold white text on a black background. The colors of the shield are simplified to black, white, and gold, which recalls the region’s gold mining history. Two concentric “C’s” in the center of the emblem are pierced by a lightning bolt; “blitz” means “lightning” in the German language and represents the energetic fighting spirit of our club. Three vertical gold stripes stand for the three largest communities in Fremont County that make up the Blitz community: Cañon City, Florence, and Penrose. The three jagged peaks across the top of the shield are emblematic of the iconic hogback rock formations where the historic downtown of Cañon City meets the mountains.
