Soccer Seasons: Teams from Cañon City Blitz Soccer participate in youth leagues offered by the Colorado Soccer Association. The CSA soccer season runs by what is referred to as a seasonal year which goes from August 1st to July 31st, and consists of a Fall Season and a Spring Season. The Fall Season usually starts in mid-August and ends in late-November, and the Spring Season usually starts in early-March and goes through late-May. Teams in each league play eight games in a season: four home games and four away games. In addition to league play, some teams may choose to play in CSA sanctioned tournaments around the state over the summer or winter months.

Blitz Teams: Historically, most Cañon City Blitz teams have started around the U10 to U12 age when players/parents desire a step up from local recreational soccer. The Blitz teams usually stay together for several years and form a close bond with teammates on and off the field. Tryouts may be held for a team if the number of players registered exceeds the roster limit, but that is rare. Each Blitz team is run by a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager. Practice schedules for each team are set by the Coaches for two or three days per week. Teams may arrange for scrimmages with other local teams, or unofficial drop-in soccer for the players during the offseason. Go to the Team Central page to find information on current Blitz teams.

Location: All Blitz practices and home games are held at Mountain View Park in Cañon City.
